There is no secret. You just work hard and stop making excuses. Have to love yourself more than th twinkie. I had been overweight my whole life until I realized that.

This is really inspiring to me. I’m 19 years old, two years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS and have been struggling to find the proper way to eat for this syndrome. Growing up I was always overweight, and always tried very hard to lose weight. This past year I’ve been working harder than ever before, but can’t find the right menu! lol I’m not a big food fanatic, but eating specifically for PCOS is what I need to do. :]

Congrats on your journey. I have PCOS and at 29 my husband and I are on our journey to have a baby. I joined a gym 2 mo ago and have went from 313 to 275. No meds, just eat right and good ol’ fashion excersise. Good luck with everything!!

sounds a lot like my story only, I started my cycle when i was nine. Then I gained almost 70 lbs transitioning from middle school to high school, been 200 and over since then.

Congratulations to you, what a wonderful achievement! I understand that the weight issues of with PCOS can been particularly hard to overcome, and sometimes medication makes them worse. So this makes your achievement all the more special. Congratulations also on becoming a mother. That’s a really great reward, wouldn’t you say?

Thank you to being an inspiration to others on the weight loss journey.

candyfreakism on 10 February, 2009 at 8:33 pm #

Congratulations on your weight loss, your baby, and your winning struggle with PCOS! It’s a hard and painful syndrome to be dealing with — I know, I was diagnosed at 14 (now 17) with PCOS and was told that I would be infertile without expensive treatments and major weight loss (at the time I was about 240) which devistated myself and my family — and I just want to say that you truly are an inspiration. Thank you for posting this video! It really does give hope. And congrats again!

PhannyBananny on 13 February, 2009 at 12:47 pm #

I have PCOS. I started gaining weight at around 9 years of age. I had an early onset period at 11. I would sometimes go 3 months without a period. I had gotten up to 262 lbs and then went down to 205, but gained most of it back due to stress and rediscovering bad habits. So here I am trying to lose the weight again. Man it sucks lol. Congrats on your weight loss and the new baby!
