Forgot to say those 2,700 calories are from 6-8 small meals a day so I eat a little often which is important to stop your metabolism from dropping & storing fat

The1DrShade on 30 April, 2009 at 4:45 am #

This bloke is spot on with what he’s just said here, I weigh about 165lbs & I eat about 2,700 calories per day…. These are good calories & a balanced diet, I’m constantly building lean muscle & losing body fat, I use the definition of my 6 pack to gauge this. I do about 30 mins of intense cardio 3 times a week & lift weights at the gym 3/4 times a week & I’m ripped.

you’re fine with the good mix of weight training and cardio, however since you’ve been going on for a couple of months now, i suggest you up your calories to promote muscle growth which will then increase your BMR, and inevitably help you lose fat faster. remember to always get a good amount of complex carbs for your usual meals and simple carbs for post-workout to replenish your glycogen levels. have protein rich food to promote muscle growth and don’t forget your vegs.

he’s saying you need a balance of everything.

draganutube on 5 May, 2009 at 10:18 pm #

Good information. lift weights, do cardio, and eat right. 80% diet – 20% gym work.

I weight train one day and do cardio next day, switching off like that, while on a low calorie diet. Is this effective? ive lost about 30-40 pounds in 3-4 months, and i dont think ive lost muscle mass because i can lift heavier than what i started at the beginning of this plan. Is it effective or still bad?

Oh yeah, You are right. REAPER, you are right too..
I’m a bit ill atm, but I will start my new training period soon. Then I will see if I can continue with doing it. I hope training can be a part of my day. I really want to lose the fat and be in shape.
Thank you for your time and help guys. I really appreciate it.

nicklegge on 21 May, 2009 at 12:26 pm #

u need to get to a stage where ur fit and u automatically want to train. Its easier to just do it than to keep thinking about it. Buy a pullup bar off ebay so that u have something to make sure ur maintaining while ur busy, instead of going backwards its easier to maintain muscle than rebuild it.Pullups are so good for ur shoulders same with rockclimbing but the intensity of ur cardio and weight seshs can play a pretty big role in achieving ur goals quicker

XxREAPER3024xX on 24 May, 2009 at 8:45 pm #

Do weights every other day. And cardio the days you don’t do weights. Also do different types of cardio. It will make it more interesting. You could run, do squates, yoga, plyometrics (legs, and jumping), you could even punch a punching bag for a while.

Wakzi on 26 May, 2009 at 4:57 pm #

Thank you.
I will try mix it up, but the major problem for me has been motivation. I have been doing some cardio for like a week or two, but then I get lazy and don’t do it. I have been in the same situation couple of times. I really need to start doing cardio again and continue doing it for a longer period..
I just need some motivation.

nicklegge on 30 May, 2009 at 4:56 am #

Maybe try and integrate cardio every day like ride a bike to work if ur within 10ks of work. And weight train every second day if u can. That’s what i try to do but i get lazy sometimes. You can train like hell like weights cardio etc but u need motivation and to mix it up every day. U need a system in place for it like what am i gonna do each day, try to maximise ur time spent in the gym (technique etc). If ur doing this you will have to eat healthily otherwise u will burn out.

Hello.
I need some help after wathing this video.

I weigh around 73kg. And my body fat is 15.3%.

How can I loose it? Shall I do some cardio or just train like hell?

In this video, he’s saying it’s not good to do cardio, but to do some weight training instead. Is that the truth? I really need some help.

415Bruh on 2 June, 2009 at 10:12 pm #

Thanks for your info :]

mikeelman on 4 June, 2009 at 10:36 pm #

the ideal should be doing both , but concentrate more in cardio like at least 15
minutes a day!! and lift weight 3 times a week giving you a day of rest (but you still
need to do your cardio)

415Bruh on 5 June, 2009 at 1:40 pm #

oh and im a bit overweight. is weight training the way to go?

415Bruh on 8 June, 2009 at 10:44 pm #

so should i just weight train instead of cardio? cause i do both, switching off everyday.

fkcanuck on 9 June, 2009 at 7:42 am #

when u say ur clients do only 20mins of cardio is that daily?

Srath79 on 10 June, 2009 at 3:30 am #

I would combine Back and Biceps on the same day. You usually hit your Bi’s as a secondary muscle group when you work your back. Triceps and shoulders would not be a bad combination either so I would swap those two body parts.

As far as cardio, don’t do it before your weight training. Unless you limit it to around 5 mins. In other words use it as a wake up call to your body before weights.

Your meals shouldn’t be just 300 calories, they should be 300 calories of lean protein and veggies.

FlusherD12 on 13 June, 2009 at 4:45 am #

thats what im doing bro, i eat 6 meals a day, but now il doing cardio, will give ya buzz in a month or so

6packads on 15 June, 2009 at 4:55 pm #

The best thing you could do is do a small amount of cardio 2-3 times a week before your workout. Say 20 mins on the crosstrainer/treadmill etc… Do this much cardio will not “kill your bulk”. It will only speed up your motabalism and burn calories. Also Try eating more small meals a day if this is an option for you 6-7 300 – 350 cal meals will increase motabilism and muscle growth. Try it out for a a month or two. Message me if you have anymore questions. :)
Goodluck!
